Comments

The MC (Military Cross) is always issued unnamed, although since 1937 the reverse of the cross or bar is officially dated with the year of issue. Since 1993 changes to the operational gallantry award system the MC is now available to both officers and other ranks. Awarded for gallantry during active operations against the enemy.
