Comments

Not strictly speaking a medal but was worn by recipients in a similar manner. It was awarded to service personnel who were invalided out of the armed forces and were unable to fight. It is said that this badge was introduced to prevent such men of military age who appeared in public without uniform being harassed by women with feathers.
